Anantapur, May 11 -- The last rites of Agniveer S Murali Naik, who was killed during an encounter with infiltrators in Jammu and Kashmir, was held at Kallathanka village in Sri Satya Sai district on Sunday. Andhra Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan, who attended the last rites, announced Rs 50 lakh ex gratia to the bereaved family on behalf of the state government.

Earlier, the mortal remains of Agniveer Jawan Murali Naik, who was killed in an encounter with five infiltrators in J&K on Thursday, was brought to the village here today.
