Bilaspur(HP), Feb. 9 -- Strongly rebutting Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister SS Sukhu's claim that the state was put under fiscal debt due to wrong policies of the previous BJP regime, former union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur on Monday dismissed them as "spreading rumors and lies".
He countered that the flawed policies of the Congress government have led to the state being burdened with a debt of over Rs. 1 lakh crore.
During a tour of the district, Thakur said that if the government had focussed on better management, resource mobilization, and expenditure reduction, the state would not be in this economic situation.
