Shamli, Oct. 30 -- The Anti-Corruption Organisation team from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh carried out a swift action this morning, arresting a government employee red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 at the Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) office in Shamli.
According to officials, Rakesh Kumar, posted as a storekeeper and also handling the duties of a senior assistant clerk, was caught accepting the bribe in exchange for approving a medical reimbursement claim. The Anti-Corruption Inspector later registered a case against him at the Adarsh Mandi police station.
