Dimapur, Nov. 13 -- In a renewed effort to fight the scourge of drugs in the Northeast region, a two-day regional conference of the heads of Anti-Narcotics Task Forces (ANTF) of the Northeast and West Bengal commenced at Chumoukedima police complex on Thursday.

The conference aims to strengthen coordination and develop effective strategies and lay a roadmap to curb drug trafficking and substance abuse across the region.

Jointly organised by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Nagaland government, participants from various central and state law enforcement, intelligence, and security agencies are in attendance.
