Kolhapur, Sept. 23 -- Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) MP Supriya Sule today demanded that the state government announce wet draught --- a situation of flooding-related drought that has caused significant crop damage, soil erosion, and other agricultural losses -- in parts of Maharashtra immediately.
Talking to media at Shree Mahalaxmi temple premises after taking 'darshan' of the Goddess, Sule said all opposition parties are demanding a waiver of agricultural loans of farmers, but the government has not taken any firm decision.
