Chandigarh, April 23 -- Taking a stern view of reported irregularities in vehicle registrations in Ambala, Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij has directed a comprehensive investigation into the operations of all Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and Regional Transport Offices (RTO) across the state.
The Minister has instructed the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau to conduct a thorough probe, issuing formal directives to the Additional Chief Secretaries of both the Revenue and Transport Departments. This move comes following reports of vehicles being registered at incomplete addresses in other states, including Tamil Nadu, through Ambala-based offices.
