Bhopal, Aug. 18 -- Scores of enraged farmers staged protests and road blockades at two different places in Madhya Pradesh today alleging shortage of urea and other fertilizers along with lack of electricity.

The protests were held at Sheopur and Chhindwara. Thousands of farmers had reached the Urea distribution centre at the Parasia road in Chhindwara in the morning. However, they alleged that they did not get Urea at the centre despite waiting in long queues for a long time.

Consequently, the irate farmers came onto the road and staged a protest. They blocked the road and raised slogans against the administration.
