Chitrakoot, Jan. 24 -- Public anger flared once again on Saturday morning in Bargadh town of Chitrakoot district following the kidnapping and murder of 13-year-old Ayush, the son of cloth merchant Ashok Kesarwani. Around 9 a.m., an agitated crowd gathered and set fire to belongings recovered from the accused persons' rented room.
Items including a motorcycle, chairs, tables and boxes were dragged outside and burnt. Police personnel present at the spot were seen struggling to control the situation as the mob vented its anger. While taking Ayush's body for the final rites, the family members placed the body in the market area, triggering further protests.
