Vijayawada, March 24 -- Andhra Pradesh's counter-intelligence wing apprehended three youths for allegedly radicalizing others, using social media platforms and for maintaining contact with outlawed organizations.
Police said the counter-intelligence and task force police personnel held Muhammad Rahmatulla Sharif, Mirza Sohail Beg and Beg Muhammad Danish in a Town area. The police seized their mobile phones.
The three youths, aged around 20 years, are accused of spreading jihadist ideology and radicalizing youths through social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram. Sources said the three youths maintained links with handlers in Pakistan.
