Kolkata, March 8 -- The resignation of West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose ahead of the elections continues to trigger political discussions, even as the outgoing governor on Sunday said the decision to step down was entirely his own.

Speaking to reporters at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport after returning to Kolkata from Delhi, Bose said, "This is my conscious decision. This is the right time to say goodbye.
