Chennai, Oct. 24 -- With the Northeast monsoon becoming more vigorous triggering heavyrains across Tamil Nadu and the Met office forecasting Cyclone formation on October 27, ChiefMinister M K Stalin today inspected the ongoing dredging works at Adyar River mouth and themonsoon preparedness at Srinivasapuram area in the city.
During the inspection, in which Health Minister Ma Subramanian and senior officials were present,Mr Stalin instructed the officials to widen and deepen the channel to ensure smooth flow of riverwater into the sea, preventing any obstruction that could lead to flooding in nearby areas.
