New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday said that recent amendments in the updated US factsheet on the India-US trade framework reflect the shared understanding reached between the two countries.
Responding to questions on the updated factsheet issued by the United States, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the changes are consistent with the joint statement agreed upon by both sides earlier this month.
"India and the US had agreed to a joint statement on the framework for an Interim Agreement on reciprocal and mutually beneficial trade. This was issued on February 7. The joint statement is the framework and remains the basis of our mutual understanding in this matter," Jaiswal said.
