Prayagraj, Feb. 10 -- In a significant verdict, Allahabad High Court has given an interim relief to ASP Anuj Chaudhary in connection with lodging of FIR in the 2024 Sambhal violence case.
Along with Chaudhary, the court has also given relief to the then Sambhal Kotwali Inspector Anuj Tomar. The order was given by a single bench judge Justice Samit Gopal on Tuesday.
The case in question is related to the Sambhal court's order to register an FIR against police officers, including the ASP Anuj Chaudhary. The High Court stayed the January 9 order of the Sambhal CJM Court.
Complainant Yamin was asked to file a response to both petitions and now the case will be heard after five weeks.
