Prayagraj, Jan. 30 -- In a setback to former Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki from Kanpur, the Allahabad High Court has dismissed his application seeking to quash the proceedings in a case registered against him under the Gangster Act.
The Allahabad High Court had reserved its judgment on January 12 after hearing arguments from both sides.
The order was passed by a single bench of Justice Samit Gopal.
A case was registered against Irfan under the Gangster Act at the Jajmau police station in December 2022. Irfan has been named as a gang leader in the case.
