Prayagraj, Feb. 11 -- The Allahabad High Court has stayed the proposed demolition of properties belonging to petitioners in Hamirpur district of the Bundelkhand region until further orders.
The petitioners approached the court seeking protection of their properties from bulldozer action. The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for February 25.
The order was passed on Wednesday by a division bench comprising Justices Atul Shridhar and Siddharth Nandan while hearing a petition filed by Faimuddin and two others.
The court observed that while authorities may proceed in accordance with due process of law, the properties of the petitioners shall not be demolished without further orders of the court.
