Prayagraj, Oct. 15 -- The Allahabad High Court has put a stay on administrative proceedings related to the proposed demolition of a mosque and approximately 80 houses in the Mohalla Hatim Sarai area of Raisatti, Sambhal district, which were allegedly constructed on pond land.

The local administration had issued notices declaring the structures illegal.

The stay was granted by a division bench headed by Justice Ajit Kumar, following a petition filed by Mahmood Alam and 18 others, who challenged the demolition notice issued by the local Tehsildar.
