Prayagraj, Feb. 17 -- The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday continued hearing the bail application of jailed cleric Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, who is allegedly the mastermind behind the September 26, 2025, violence in Bareilly.
During the hearing, the court directed the Uttar Pradesh government to file a reply on the bail petition. The state informed the court that the bail plea filed by applicant Tauqeer Raza Khan is related to the Bareilly riots.
The single bench of Justice Ashutosh Srivastava ordered that the bail application be added on record. The next hearing in this case will be held on February 24.
