Doha, Feb. 21 -- World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the final of the Qatar Open 2026 after defeating defending champion Andrey Rublev in straight sets in the semi-final.
The Spaniard registered a 7-6(3), 6-4 victory in a closely contested match played under the lights in Doha, converting his sixth match point to seal his place in the title clash, as per the ATP Tour website.
With the win, Alcaraz extended his unbeaten run in 2026 to 11 matches and reached his first final at the Doha ATP 500 event.
