Ranchi, Aug. 12 -- Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav today visited Nemra village in Ramgarh to pay respects to the late tribal leader and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren, popularly known as Dishom Guru.
Akhilesh arrived at Birsa Munda Airport this morning, where party workers and supporters welcomed him.
He expressed solidarity with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family, acknowledging the deep loss the state feels.
At Nemra, the ancestral home of Shibu Soren, Akhilesh Yadav offered flowers at the late leader's portrait and recalled Soren's lifelong commitment to tribal, Dalit, oppressed, and marginalized communities.
