Lucknow, Feb. 23 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday took a dig at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his official visit to Singapore and Japan, urging him to study Singapore's water management system during the trip.

In a post on social media, the former chief minister remarked that while Singapore's water channels are well-planned and aesthetically maintained, Uttar Pradesh often struggles with leaking tanks and broken pipelines. He suggested that better planning and management could significantly improve infrastructure in the state.

The SP chief sarcastically described the visit as a "sweet trip" and said the Chief Minister might be surprised to see how efficiently water resources are managed abroad.
