Lucknow, Feb. 12 -- Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday once again targeted the Narendra Modi government over the proposed Indo-US trade deal, alleging that it would harm India's economic interests.
In a post on social media, the SP president wrote, "This 'deal' is a 'branch' that is being cut by the one sitting on it. This deal is against not only agriculture and labour but also all kinds of production, trade, and employment in our country."He further alleged that the agreement would deepen economic dependence. "This is the invisible chain that the selfish BJP members with the mentality of middlemen, drowned in greed for money, cannot see," he said.
