Lucknow, Nov. 22 -- Demanding extension of time of SIR, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has launched a major attack on the Election Commission and the BJP with alleging that both are working together on a strategy through Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to cut the SP's votes to influence the upcoming 2027 elections.
He also termed that the present SIR was done to impact the next year's assembly polls in West Bengal.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Yadav said that his party has received information that preparations are underway to remove approximately 50,000 votes in the assembly seats where the Samajwadi Party won in 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
