Bengaluru, Nov. 16 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday sounded a warning over what he described as a "crisis in Hindustaniyat," alleging that the central government is creating divisions within Indian society and even within families.

He emphasised the need for collective efforts to preserve India's identity, unity, and inclusivity.

Speaking on the importance of Vision India, Akhilesh said, "Even within homes, people are discussing topics that were never debated a few years ago. This crisis in Hindustaniyat is being created by the government."He described Hindustaniyat - the essence of being Indian - as the shared identity that binds the country's diverse population.
