Mumbai, Nov. 14 -- All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Waris Pathan on Friday alleged that the BJP and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) victory in Bihar came at the cost of minorities and backward castes.

Pathan said the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress-led Mahagathbandhan were responsible for dividing minority votes, which ultimately benefited the BJP. "The RJD and Congress are themselves responsible for the division of minority votes, as we had offered them the opportunity to come together by seeking only six seats from the Mahagathbandhan, but they refused," Pathan said.
