Patna, Jan. 29 -- The Orthopaedic department at AIIMS Patna has achieved an important milestone by successfully treating more than 700 children with serious orthopaedic problems over the last five years.
Dr (Brig.) Raju Agrawal, Executive Director, AIIMS Patna, said here that during this period, 712 paediatric orthopaedic surgeries were performed. Children suffering from birth-related limb deformities, injuries, bone infections, bone tumours, metabolic bone diseases and limb length differences were treated successfully. Many complex deformities that earlier required referral outside the state are now being treated routinely at AIIMS Patna, he informed.
