New Delhi, April 27 -- : Following the move of Dr M Srinivas to NITI Aayog as a full-time member, AIIMS, New Delhi, on Monday, announced Dr Nikhil Tandon, senior endocrinologist and its Dean (Academic), as the new director of the institute.
Dr Tandon will serve as an interim director until a regular appointment for the position is made, as permitted under Rule 9(4) of the AIIMS Rules, 2019.
The working arrangement is applicable with immediate effect and will be in place for a period of six months or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, whichever is earlier, an office memorandum issued by AIIMS stated.
