Shimla, Jan. 28 -- The Congress high command has stepped in to contain increasing infighting within the Himachal Pradesh Congress government after public disagreements among cabinet ministers over governance and bureaucratic functioning embarrassed the party.
The situation escalated after some ministers openly accused senior bureaucrats of acting against the state's interests, triggering sharp counter-attacks from others and forcing the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to intervene.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, and Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Vinay Kumar were summoned to New Delhi following the Republic Day celebrations.
