Puducherry, April 5 -- AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palanisami, whose party is part of the NDA, on Sunday promised that his party will strive hard to secure Statehood status for Puducherry.
Speaking at an election campaign here in support of the two AIADMK candidates and other NDA candidates, he said the party will get in touch with the union government and take steps to confer Statehood on Puducherry.
Coming down heavily on DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, he said after looting Tamil Nadu he was trying to do the same in Puducherry too.
