Bilaspur, March 26 -- Taking a major move to integrating advanced technology into public healthcare in the state All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Bilaspur has installed an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled 'Cardia 12-L ECG System' in its Department of Cardiology.
The institute claims to be the first government medical institution in India to introduce such a facility. The system, commissioned this week following tenders floated in December, represents a major upgrade over conventional ECG machines.
Powered by artificial intelligence and accredited by the device not only records the electrical activity of the heart but also performs automated, real-time analysis of the data.
