Ahmedabad, June 20 -- The DNA samples of 223 people who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash have been matched, and 204 bodies have been handed over to their families so far.



Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, Dr. Rakesh Joshi, said today that 220 relatives had been contacted.



The hospital has handed over a total of 204 bodies, including of two individuals who were initially undergoing treatment at the hospital and later succumbed to their injuries.



Dr. Joshi said that among the 223 deceased, 168 were Indian citizens, seven were Portuguese, 36 were British citizens, one was Canadian, and 11 were non-passengers, including local people.
