Patna, Oct. 4 -- union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that agriculture is the backbone of Indian economy and farmers are its soul.
Interacting with agricultural scientists, advisors, and farmers in a function, Chouhan said here that the country's godowns are full of wheat and rice and India is exporting grains to other countries.
He credited the hard work of farmers and the crucial role of agricultural advisors for this achievement.
Praising agricultural advisors, he said that without them, research achievements in laboratories would not reach the fields.
He added that the government recognizes the importance of advisors and is committed to protecting their interests and honoring them.
