Patna, Nov. 16 -- The National Democratic Alliance's sweeping victory in the Bihar assembly elections, securing 202 seats in a contest fought against a united opposition, has left the Grand Alliance reeling and searching for answers.
Among the most outspoken voices reflecting on the defeat is CPIML (L) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, whose party's tally plunged from 12 seats in 2020 to just two this year.
Dipankar, a statistician by training, in a free-wheeling interview to UNI, described the results as "unnatural and surprising," drawing a comparison to the 2010 elections when the opposition was divided and uncoordinated.
