Chennai, March 4 -- After inking the seat sharing deal with its key ally, the Congress, allotting it one Rajya Sabha seat and after giving one to its new entrant DMDK of actor-politician Vijayakanth, the ruling DMK on Wednesday announced its candidates for the two RS seats.

The DMK has nominated incumbent Trichy N Siva and Prof J Constantine Ravindran as its candidates for the two seats, DMK President and Chief Minister M K Stalin said in a statement.

After being allotted one seat and signing the pact, TNCC Chief K Selvaperunthagai said the AICC would soon announce who would be the RS nominee.

The DMDK too was expected to name its candidate tonight and party Treasurer L K Sudeesh was expected to be the likely choice for it.
