Dhaka, Dec. 22 -- Days after the death of popular July Uprising leader Osman Hadi, who succumbed to a bullet injury to his head, the Khulna divisional head of the student-led National Citizen Party (NCP), Motaleb Shikder, was injured in shooting by unidentified persons in Dhaka today.
Shikder, 42, a central organiser of the NCP's labour wing, Jatiya Sramik Shakti, was attacked at around 11:45am at a house on Masjid road, adjacent to Gazi Medical College Hospital.
According to reports, the assailants fired a bullet at his head before fleeing the scene.
He was rescued by locals who admitted him to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
