Kabul, Oct. 7 -- The Afghan Taliban has firmly rejected US President Donald Trump's push to "take back" the former US Air Base in the town of Bagram, with group's chief spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, in an interview with Sky News affirmed Kabul's stance, stating "Afghans will never allow their land to be handed over to anyone under any circumstances."The largest US airbase in the country, established during its invasion of Kabul, was abandoned in 2021 upon the exit of US troops, leaving behind a trove of advanced air equipment.

Trump had warned of stark retaliation back in September, warning Afghanistan that "bad things are going to happen" if they did not comply with his demand.
