Tirumala, Jan. 13 -- In a move aimed at enhancing pilgrim convenience and maintaining cleanliness, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) launched an advanced QR code-based footwear management system here on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating the new system, TTD Additional Executive Ch Venkaiah Chowdary said the initiative offers a permanent solution to the long-standing problem of footwear management faced by pilgrims on the Tirumala hill shrine.
The system, first introduced on a pilot basis at Vaikuntha Queue Complex-2, received an overwhelming response, following which eight QR code-based footwear counters have been established at key locations across Tirumala, he said.
