Jammu, Jan. 28 -- In view of the disruption to road and air travel due to inclement weather and snowfall, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway operated a special reserved train today between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar, an official spokesman here said.

He said that due to the large number of tourists visiting Kashmir and to ensure their comfortable journey, two additional AC coaches were added to the special reserved train.

"The addition of these two coaches provided 144 extra berths, helping passengers with waiting list tickets get confirmed seats," he said adding that passengers appreciated the railway's initiative, calling it a positive step.
