Hyderabad, April 1 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Khammam Range, conducted a surprise raid at the office of the Municipal Commissioner, Sathupally Municipality in Khammam district on March 31, uncovering several irregularities in revenue collection and record maintenance.
According to an official release on Wednesday, ACB officials examined records, financial transactions, tax collections, pending applications, and the overall functioning of the municipal office for the 2025-26 financial year.
The ACB revealed significant discrepancies in revenue collection. Against a total demand of Rs 22.23 crore under various heads, only Rs 7.99 crore had been collected, leaving a balance of Rs 14.23 crore.
