Shivpuri (MP), Feb. 15 -- Police arrested an absconding accused early Sunday morning following a brief encounter in Shivpuri district. The man was wanted in connection with the shooting of a lawyer in Karera a day earlier.
According to police, the accused, identified as Parendra Rawat (23), opened fire when a police team surrounded him near the Chirli intersection in the Karera area. In retaliatory action, police shot Rawat in the leg, injuring him. He was subsequently taken into custody and admitted for medical treatment.
Rawat's two accomplices - Golu Rawat (25) and Zahir Muslim (24) - were also arrested.
