Visakhapatnam (AP), April 1 -- Newly appointed District Collector M. Abhishekta Kishore on Wednesday assumed charge and said he would focus on comprehensive development of the district and welfare of its people.
Speaking to the media after taking charge, he said effective implementation of government schemes and ensuring benefits reach genuine beneficiaries would be a priority.
He noted that Visakhapatnam is emerging as a key economic hub and an important centre for industry and IT, and said efforts would be made to attract investments in sectors such as information technology, industries, data centres and tourism.
