New Delhi, March 8 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday said that while its government in Punjab had implemented a monthly financial assistance scheme for women as promised, the BJP-led government in Delhi had not fulfilled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assurance of providing Rs 2,500 per month to women in the national capital.
Addressing the issue on International Women's Day, AAP Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj said the party had promised during the Punjab Assembly elections that every woman would receive Rs 1,000 per month if an AAP government was formed.
