New Delhi, April 2 -- In a significant organis ational shake-up, the Aam Aadmi Party has formally moved to remove Raghav Chadha from his position as the party's deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, according to sources.

In a letter to the Upper House Secretariat, the party also requested that Chadha not be given speaking time under AAP's allotted quota, signaling a notable shift in its parliamentary strategy and internal hierarchy.

The party has proposed Ashok Mittal as the new deputy leader and has asked for his appointment to be processed at the earliest.

AAP currently has 10 members in the Rajya Sabha, with seven representing Punjab and three from Delhi.
