New Delhi, Jan. 25 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday accused the BJP led Delhi government of failing to take action against private schools that raised fees arbitrarily, despite conducting financial audits.
AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bhardwaj made the allegations based on responses given by Education Minister Ashish Sood during the recent Delhi Assembly session.
According to Bhardwaj, the minister's written replies revealed that no private school has refunded the increased fees to parents, and no punitive action has been initiated against schools despite audits of 1,624 institutions. Bhardwaj also claimed that the government does not maintain records of which schools raised fees in April 2025 or by how much.
