New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today levelled serious allegations against the central and Bihar governments, claiming preferential treatment was given to the Adani Group in a major land and power agreement.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated that 1,050 acres of fertile land in Bhagalpur, Bihar, was handed over to the Adani Group for a token sum of one rupee to establish three power plants.
He further claimed that the state government has agreed to purchase electricity from these plants at a fixed rate of seven rupees per unit for the next 25 years.
According to Singh, the land was acquired by the previous BJP-JDU state government in 2012-13 using public funds from the state treasury to compensate farmers. He alleged...
