New Delhi, Feb. 2 -- Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday slammed both the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accusing them of neglecting the issue of women safety and talking about it only during elections.

Addressing a public meeting at Babarpur here, Priyanka said, "Now that elections are near, both the AAP and BJP have remembered women. But in the last 10 years, there was never any talk about women's safety".

Lashing out at AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal for making false allegations against former Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit, Priyanka Gandhi said that "Women were infact very safe during her rule while, they are today scared, concerned about their safety and are nervous to go out alone".
