Agartala, March 23 -- A local court of Unakoti district in Tripura on Sunday remanded 30 -year old Malen Chasha to police for three days on the charge of killing his mother and inflicting severe injury on her paramour in Sarojini gram panchayat of Kailashahar.
Police arrested Malen on Saturday hours after the incident and interrogated him.
Police said Malen Chasha, a tea labourer by profession, had lost his father 10 years ago and shortly thereafter his mother Yashoda Chasha had developed a live-in relationship with one Subal Bauri of the village. The duo were living with Malen and his wife in the same house but frequently quarreling over trifles that Malen could not bear.
