Jaipur, March 7 -- Around a dozen Muslim devotees sustained injuries when a portion of a balcony at Firdaus Masjid premises collapsed during Friday prayers (namaz) here this afternoon.
A fairly good number of devotees gathered at the mosque in the Bhatta Basti area of the Shastri Nagar here for the Jumma-e-Namaz in the holy month of Ramadan when the mishap occurred. The debris of the balcony fell on the namazi-s.
The police and the onlookers soon swung in action and rescued 15 persons from the debris.
