Shillong, Feb. 11 -- The 87th Meeting of the Brahmaputra Board was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Ranbir Singh, Chairman, Brahmaputra Board, here in Meghalaya on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by members comprising senior officials from the central and state governments of all the Northeastern states, including West Bengal, and focused on reviewing ongoing programmes and discussing strategic initiatives related to integrated water resources management, flood and erosion control, and institutional strengthening in the Brahmaputra and Barak river basins.
