Chennai, Feb. 11 -- In a tragic incident, a seventh standard girl student
suddenly fainted and swooned in the campus of a Government school and
was declared brought dead on being rushed to a hospital.
The tragedy took place at the Government Higher Secondary School at
Pallathur village near Pattukottai Taluk in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu
yesterday, a release by Chief Minister M K Stalin announcing Rs five lakh
solatium to her parents, said here today.
The girl, aged 12, was identified as Kavibala , who had fainted and fell
unconscious in the school campus.
She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Mr Stalin expressed deep anguish and grief over the young girl's death
