Puri, April 21 -- As many as 67 couples were married in a mass wedding ceremony organised on Tuesday at the Bagala Dharamshala campus here, following traditional religious rituals.
The event was organised by the Patita Udhar Sammittee under the aegis of the district administration as part of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Bivah Yojana.
More than a thousand guests attended the programme and were served meals on the occasion.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conveyed his blessings to the newlywed couples through a virtual address. Local MLA Sunil Mohanty, along with the MLAs of Satyabadi and Pipili, were present at the ceremony.
